How do I (personally) follow Jesus' life example?

I have thought about this so much and still don't have an answer. I know that there is a lot of sin out there, but how do we overcome it? I also know that God is right there to help us, but sometimes it is really hard! How can we, you and me, overcome sin with God's help here on this earth? If you have any ideas please give them.

It is my belief that deep inside....we are all like christ...but because of sin...we have been defiled in some way...we face different challenges and find it difficult to overcome many of our weaknesses.It is important that as we attempt to live for christ, we keep our minds open for the guidance of the holy spirit ( which may also be considered to be your conscience), It is also essential that we pray and read the word of god to be able to discern the spirit because satan has a way of disguising himself. As we pray and we examine our lives we slowly see our weaknesses, and so we must constantly consult our bibles and god in prayer.Only then will be able to overcome our weaknesses,whether it be sexual addiction,being materialistic, drugs, laziness, hatred towards others...there is something in the bible to assist us in overcoming our weaknesses... and only when we make the attempt to do so will we begin to experience the power of christ..only then will we be able to see how chirst is able to transform us and only then will we be able to effectively witness for christ and complete the work which he started. We have to prepare the way for him, only when we do our work will he come.We have to fight on towards perfection so we can help others in their battle because the time will come when the general will return for his soldiers who survived the spiritual war on earth.

It is impossible by my standards to be without sin, if that is what you are asking. All I know is that Christ died so that if we are in him, in the day of judgment, we will have a clean slate just like His.

Of course we'll never become sinless in this life because Christ is the only One who has and can do that. Maintain a relationship with God. Spending time with Him every day in devotionals is the best way, I think (reading the Bible, praying, etc.), and also spending time with people who want to keep a relationship with Him, as well, like maybe your Youth group activities.
