I've had a couple of those same type of experiences. When will we get the message that if God doesn't want us to do something anymore... He would tell us! Especially after knowing that He wanted us there in the first place.

Love working with youth. I guess it keeps me young in my heart... or because the adults would rather not have me around them! You choose!

I am a youth leader at the Spartanburg SDA Church in South Carolina. Would love to be a youth pastor, but my wife says she will not be a pastor's wife. :-) So I spend what time I have for the good of the church... especially the youth!

Saved From the Grasp of Death... A Testimony of God's Love

Tuesday night, the 22nd of November 2005, was an ordinary night. With the exception that Joy and I were packed and ready to head down to Atlanta after work the next day so that she could run her first 1/2 marathon on Thanksgiving. So You Think There's No Hope... Do Ya?

Ever think you are beyond hope? I do every now and then. It is a natural reaction to our human nature. When sin falls upon our lives, we get discouraged and then we fall into a rut because we think there is no hope getting out.

But we serve a God of surprises. He never ceases to give up on us.. though we may give up on Him sometimes. He shows up when we least expect Him to and He pulls us out of our pity party.

Rocks for God

I had this youth come through my church who used to joke about himself quite often. From his perspective, he didn't come across as a smart person. He used to call himself a rock. Not because he was big and strong or anything like that. But because he felt he could not learn things in school well when they became complicated and just had a hard time catching on.
